These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your participation in our programmes, including our tailoring training centres, short online IT courses, Zakat and other assistance, Qarz e Hasna (interest-free loans) and donations.
By accessing our website, applying to a programme, making a donation or otherwise dealing with us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Baadbaan Foundation is a welfare organisation in Pakistan. Our mission is to help people in need stand on their own feet by providing them with skills and resources. Our work includes:
The information on our website is provided to describe our work and is not a guarantee that any particular programme, centre, course or assistance will be available at a given time or place.
You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You agree not to:
We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time, for maintenance, security or any other reason, without notice.
Voluntary and non-refundable. Donations are voluntary gifts made in the cause of welfare. Once a donation has been made and received, it is generally non-refundable. If you believe a payment was made in error (for example, a duplicate or wrong-amount payment), contact us promptly with your payment details and we will review it.
Zakat, Sadaqah and general funds. Where you designate your donation as Zakat, we will keep it and use it only for Zakat-eligible purposes and eligible recipients in accordance with Shariah principles. Donations designated as Sadaqah, Lillah or general funds may be used for any of the Foundation's charitable purposes, including running costs of programmes and administration, unless you have specified a particular purpose.
Use of funds. We will use donations for the purposes for which they were given. If a specific programme or campaign is over-funded, cannot be carried out, or is no longer needed, we may apply the funds to a similar charitable purpose of the Foundation, and where the donation was Zakat, to another Zakat-eligible purpose.
Receipts. We will issue acknowledgements or receipts for donations where contact details are provided. Please check that your details are accurate. Any tax treatment of your donation depends on applicable law and your own circumstances; we are not able to give you tax advice.
Payments. Payments may be processed by banks or third-party payment providers with their own terms. We are not responsible for delays, failures or charges caused by them. We do not store your full card details or PIN.
Beware of impersonation. Please donate only through the official channels shown on baadbaan.pk. We are not responsible for money sent to accounts or persons that are not officially published by us.
Enrolment. Places in tailoring centres and online courses are offered at our discretion and subject to availability, eligibility and the requirements set for each intake. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
Accurate information. You agree to give true and complete information when applying. We may cancel or refuse admission if information proves false or misleading.
Fees and materials. Any fee, deposit or requirement for materials, tools or equipment will be communicated to you for the relevant programme before you enrol. Unless we state otherwise in writing, do not pay any person on the Foundation's behalf other than through channels we have officially confirmed.
Conduct. Students are expected to attend regularly, respect teachers, staff and fellow students, and follow the rules of the centre or online class. We may warn, suspend or remove any student for misconduct, repeated absence, harassment, misuse of equipment or breach of these Terms.
Online classes. You are responsible for your own device, internet connection and account security. Do not record, share or redistribute class sessions or course materials without our permission.
Certificates and outcomes. Certificates, where offered, are issued on satisfactory completion as decided by the Foundation. We aim to give you useful skills, but we do not guarantee any particular employment, income or business result.
Minors. Applicants under 18 must have the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian.
Assessment. Assistance is given only to those we determine, at our discretion, to be eligible after reasonable verification of need. We may ask for identity documents, information about your household and income, references and home or community verification. Providing false information may lead to refusal, withdrawal of support and, where appropriate, recovery of what was given.
No entitlement. Applying does not entitle you to any assistance. Decisions are made according to eligibility, available funds and priorities, and we are not obliged to give reasons for a decision.
Qarz e Hasna. Qarz e Hasna is an interest-free loan offered in rare cases to persons in need who are not eligible to receive Zakat. No interest or profit is charged. The amount, repayment schedule and any guarantor or reference requirements will be agreed with you and recorded in writing before the loan is released. You agree to repay the loan according to the agreed schedule. If you face genuine hardship, please contact us early so that we can consider a reasonable arrangement. We may take reasonable steps to recover an unpaid loan where a borrower is able to repay but refuses or avoids doing so.
